When Ifor Pritchard died at the beginning of winter 2010 he had reached the zenith of his reinvention as an artist. He had started to create his oil paintings of Snowdonia quarrying life a scant six years before, and within that time he used his expert ability and his vivid imagination to record the everyday occurrences, the hardships and the skills of the quarrymen.
