‘Carco’ celebrates 50 years of poetry by Menna Elfyn since the publication of her first volume, Mwyara (1976). We are lead through her career, decade by decade, with new poems, old favourites and poems that are now out of print. They all turn on the axis of ‘carco’, a concept which embodies the act of caring for the earth, for family and for poetry.
