An unexpected and unknown treasure of the history and heritage of Trawsfynydd is Cwm Dolgain. The valley was not only home to ancient monuments such as the Bronze Age long stone Llech Idris and the grave of 5th century Bishop Porius, but it was also used as a firing range for the British Army for 60 years from 1903.
