Description
Marianne Burton brilliantly captures the voice of Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard: his intellectual wit, his pointed ways with paradox, his depth of feeling and compassionate, lively and sociable personality in this series of 14-line poems. The ‘cupboard’ of the title refers to where Kierkegaard kept letters from his spurned love, Regine.
