Description

There is a close relationship between poetry and the Great War – in many languages. This volume comprises studies and examples of the work of poets and soldiers from the Celtic countries during that time. Many poets sang commemorative poems to the lost sons of war, reflecting the dreams and longing of the soldiers in the trenches, appreciation of close friendships and honest satire.
