Bloodlines

Description

The vigorous argot of Gypsy/Traveller folk from the early 20th century enlivens this inventive, original set of poems from Sarah Wimbush, Bloodlines, that has won the Mslexia Pamphlet prize. By piecing together stories overheard since childhood, the author has built a sequence packed with memorable characters who thrive in precarious circumstances.
