Description

In early 1801, the British government sent a company of dragoons to Caernarfon in anticipation of an uprising. The soldiers were sent away by Edward Griffith, the town’s chief justice of the peace, and trouble broke out following this. The author tells the story of the circumstances of the age and of human nature.
