The motivation for Cyhoeddiadau Modern Cymreig to publish this handsome volume was the good reception to Dyrnaid o Awduron Cyfoes almost half a century ago. Each person mentioned in this volume are of the generation of that bygone age namely: Iorwerth Cyfeiliog Peate, B. T. Hopkins, John Evans (Sion Ifân), Caradog Prichard, Einion Evans and Bedwyr Lewis Jones.
