Description

Mary is a nurse at a Lancashire prison camp for German POWs. Work is difficult but fulfilling; home a constant round of arguments and her ex-boyfriend is giving her trouble. The only light on her horizon is a growing friendship with one of the camp’s German doctors, and letters from her imprisoned elder brother. Gritty and moving WWII saga.
